Richard Bell will present his major work Embassy (2013-ongoing) as part of the the sixth edition of the renowned Performa Biennial, to take place 1-22 November 2015. Celebrating its tenth annivesary, Performa was established in 2004 to highlight the significance of perfomance in 20th century art history and provide a platform for artists' performance in the 21st century. Bell will restage and pay homage to The Aboriginal Tent Embassy, the world’s longest running ongoing protest that was assembled by activists on the lawn of Australia’s Parliament House in 1972, where it remains to this day. The space will function as a hub for film screenings, workshops, discussions and as an exhibition space with multiple events running across three days, from the 5-7 Novemeber.
