VERNON AH KEE: COURTYARD COMMISSION, INSTITUTE OF MODERN ART

 

Vernon Ah Kee will present the inaugural Institute of Modern Art Courtyard Commission from 30 July in the IMA's Berwick Street entry courtyard. Building on Ah Kee's ongoing use of text and language in his art, he will present a monumental text-based work informed by the direct effect of propaganda posters and advertising imagery, whilst creating abstract shapes through a play with kerning and positioning.
