LAUNCH- Clayton Utz Travelling Scholarship

 

Gemma Smith has been awarded the 2009 LAUNCH Clayton Utz Travelling Scholarship. The $10 000 scholarship provides Queensland artists the opportunity to travel within Australia or overseas to undertake formal study, a residency or other professional development activities. Smith was selected from 25 finalists by this year's judge, curator Michael Snelling. Gemma intends to use the bursary to travel to Brazil next year, and complete research at the prestigious Projeto Helio Oiticica.
