Jemima Wyman has spoken with the Daily Telegraph about her large-scale work presented as part of the 'The National'. The work, entitled Aggregate Icon (Rosetta RBW) considers the global aesthetic vocabulary of resistance and protest and is on show at Carriageworks, Sydney until 18 June.

The National Gallery of Australia has just launched its website for the 3rd National Indigenous Art Triennial. Defying Empire: 3rd National Indigenous Art Triennial brings the works of 30 contemporary Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists from across the country into the national spotlight. Included in the exhibition are Judy Watson and Dale Harding.

Curated by Matthew Perkins the three part exhibition 'Red Green Blue: A History of Australian Video Art' being held at Griffith University Art Gallery will run from Thursday 30 March to Saturday 8 July. Its three 'episodes' map a thematic history of video art in Australia from the 1970s until the present. Episode one 'Red: Everything is Political' runs until Saturday 29 April and includes artists Peter Kennedy, Bonita Ely and Kate Beynon.

RICHARD BELL: PANEL DISCUSSION, 'THE NATIONAL', CARRIAGEWORKS

This Saturday 1 April, Richard Bell will introduce a screening of Basically Black, a television pilot which was made by ABC Television in 1973 following Basically Blacks theatrical success at Nimrod Theatre. Basically Black created by the National Black Theatre was a revue of satirical and political sketches about Indigenous Australia, which had extraordinary social impact when it was premiered in 1972.

Work by Ian Burn, Christian Capurro, Eugene Carchesio, Sam Cranstoun, Daniel McKewen and Gemma Smith features as part of 'Less than: Art & Reductionism' at the Queensland University of Technology. The exhibition considers reductionist techniques—repetition, limited or monochrome colour, seriality and plain-spoken materials—drawing on the Museum's collection to elaborate on this theme. The exhibition runs until 21 May.

'The Dust Never Settles' is a group exhibition at The University of Queensland Art Museum that draws on its collection to explore works by contemporary artists who probe at cultural, environmental and psychological histories that remain unresolved. The exhibition includes work by Khadim Ali, Richard Bell & Emory Douglas, Gordon Bennett, Bonita Ely, Dale Harding, Raquel Ormella, Luke Roberts and Judy Watson and runs from Wednesday 12 April to Sunday 30 July.
