Vernon Ah Kee - On the Origin of Art, MONA Hobart
Vernon Ah Kee's work will be shown later this year as part of the Museum of Old and New Art's upcoming show 'On the Origin of Art'. This show spans artworks made across three centuries and is curated by "four bio-cultural scientist-philosophers", Steven Pinker, Geoffrey Miller, Brian Boyd and Mark Changizi. ROSSLYND PIGGOTT: Murano Glass Museum, ex Conterie, Venice, Italyr
New work by Rosslynd Piggott will be exhibited as part of 'Murano Glass Museum, ex Conterie'. Curated by Gabriella Belli and Chiara Squarcina the exhibition showcases work produced from the glass factories of Venice. Opening 7 October 2016 the exhibiton will run until 25 April 2017. Read more.
DALE HARDING: WINNER OF 2016 '15 ARTISTS' ACQUISITIVE PRIZE
Dale Harding was recently announced as the winner of the Moreton Bay Regional Council / Redcliffe City Art Gallery acquisitive art prize and exhibition '15 Artists'. The work, entitled I refuse you my death, will enter the permanent Moreton Bay Regional Council Art Collection. Harding first presented the work in his solo exhibition of the same name at Milani Gallery earlier this year. Read more.
