Vivienne Binns: Exhibition with MUMA / MCA

Vivienne Binns major survey exhibition On and Through the Surface will open on 5 February 2022. Co-curated by Hannah Matthews and Anneke Jasper, the exhibition will run at Monash University Museum of Art from 5 February - 14 April 2022 before touring to the Museum of Contemporary Art, Sydney from 15 July - 25 September 2022.

Vivienne Binns, Bonita Ely, Peter Kennedy: TATE and MCA acquisitions

The Museum of Contemporary Art Australia, Sydney, Tate, London, have announced their new Australian artwork acquisitions for their International Joint Acquisition Program. Included in this are The Aftermath and the Ikon of Fear (1984–5) by Vivienne Binns,  Jabiluka UO2 by Bonita Ely (1979), and  Snare (1972/2019) and But the Fierce Blackman (1971/2011) by Peter Kennedy.

Vivienne Binns, IAN BURN: 'Painting Amongst Other Things', ANCA Gallery, Canberra

Work by Vivienne Binns and Ian Burn will be included in the three site exhibition Painting Amongst Other Things, at the ANCA Gallery venue in Canberra. The exhibition, curated by Oscar Capezio, showcases leading contemporary artists from Australia and New Zealand currently work through painting, in the wake of conceptual art, all critically seeking an expansion of the structures of painting. The exhibition runs at ANCA Gallery from August 8 until 26 August
