Judy Watson's 'the names of places' presents research-based mapping of Aboriginal massacre sites across the country.

A significant aspect of the project is an invitation extended by Watson to the Australian public to contribute any knowledge of such massacres to be incorporated into a database and website, which will be part of the evolving project.

Penrith Regional Gallery, The Lewers Bequest and the Museum of Applied Arts & Sciences (Sydney) presented 'Gravity (And Wonder)' a group exhibition that considers the creative potential of gravity. Gravity invisibly governs the movement of the world, the shape of space and the flow of time - it is these qualities that influence the work of the artists shown. The exhibition will include a new installation by Sandra Selig.

Vernon Ah Kee and Richard Bell feature as part of 'Over the Fence: Contemporary Indigenous photography from the Corrigan Collection' at the University of Queensland Art Museum, Brisbane. The exhibition includes the work of a selection of Indigenous Australian artists working in the photographic medium, drawn from the collection of Patrick Corrigan AM. The exhibition runs until 30 October 2016.

Judy Watson has been selected to create a major public artwork to be positioned adjacent to the entry of Brisbane’s Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA).
