Raquel Ormella presents a body of new work as part of a solo exhibition at Cross Art Projects, Sydney entitled 'Artists as Cartoonists, or Extended Black and White'. The work engages with a series of entries by art historian Joan Kerr in the national database, the Design and Art Australian Online, and in the exhibition catalogue, 'Artists and Cartoonists in Black and White: The Most Public Art' (1999). The exhibitions runs until 23 July.

Eugene Carchesio's work features in an upcoming group exhibition entitled 'Fieldwork: Artist Encounters' at the SCA Galleries, Sydney College of the Arts, Sydney. Opening 9 July, the exhibition is curated by Gary Warner and focuses on spatial, conceptual and material conversations between recent works of a collection of artists who share concerns for the future of our lived environment and whose practices involve, in various ways, work in [and/or of] 'the field'.

The work of Tom Nicholson features as part of a group exhibition entitled 'Antipodes', collaboratively organised between University of Cambridge Museums and the Australian Print Workshop, and hosted at the Museum of Anthropology & Archaeology at the University of Cambridge. Exploring the interplay of natural history, empire, art and anthropology, Nicholson worked in the print studio at APW in collaboration with APW Printers to produce a new body of work in the print medium.

Judy Watson's latest public art commission, 'ngarunga nangama, calm water dream' will be unveiled next week at 200 George Street, Sydney. Drawing on Watson's etching and painting practice, the imagery of water and artefacts have been rendered in close to 265m2 of sandstone.

Khaled Sabsabi has been selected to exhibit in the 1st Yinchuan Biennale, curated by Bose Krishnamachari, co-founder and previous curator of the Kochi-Muziris Biennale. Opening September 9, the exhibition will occupy the main spaces of the Museum of Contemporary Art Yinchuan (MOCA Yinchuan) and is titled 'For an Image, Faster than Light'.
