CHRISTIAN CAPURRO: SLAVE, AUSTRALIAN CENTRE FOR CONTEMPORARY ART
Australian Centre for Contemporary Art presents a solo exhibition of new video work by Melbourne-based Christian Capurro. Entitled Slave, the work interrogates contemporary image making and utilises footage captured by Capurro via phone-camera of Dan Flavin's famous minimal fluro works 'monuments to V. Tatlin'. The exhibition runs 16 August to 26 September 2014.
VERNON AH KEE & JUDY WATSON: SALTWATER COUNTRY, GOLD COAST CITY GALLERY
Vernon Ah Kee and Judy Watson present new work as part of Saltwater Country, a large-scale exhibition looking at Indigenous artists' depiction and connection with the sea and water's edge. Opening 19 July and running until 31 August at the Gold Coast City Gallery, the travelling exhibition will tour both nationally and internationally. Read more.
