Victorian artist Gareth Sansom is one of Australia’s most highly regarded painters. The major retrospective exhibition Gareth Sansom: Transformer at the National Gallery of Victoria features work over the entirety of his celebrated career. Over 130 works are featured, including many never exhibited publicly before.
Gareth Sansom: Adelaide Biennial
Recent work by Gareth Sansom will be on display at the Art Gallery of South Australia as part of the 2016 Adelaide Biennial 'Magic Object'. The exhibition opens 28 February and runs until 15 May 2016.

The work of Gareth Sansom features prominently as part of the 2016 Adelaide Biennial of Australian Art entitled 'Magic Object'. Gareth Sansom wins 2012 Dobell Prize
Gareth Sansom has been awarded the 2012 Dobell Prize for his work Made in Wadeye, a suite of 20 drawings in ink, lead pencil, graphite, coloured watercolour pencil, felt tipped pen, ball point pen, egg tempera, earth and collage. The work will be on display at the Art Gallery of New South Wales until 10 February 2013.

Basil Sellers Art Prize
Vernon Ah Kee and Gareth Sansom are finalists in the 2010 Basil Sellers Art Prize. The biennial, invitational only prize of $100 000 is awarded to single artwork selected from an exhibition of finalists' work, held at the Ian Potter Museum of Art, University of Melbourne, The Basil Sellers Art Prize recognises artists whose work engages with the many themes within sport, past an present, to contribute to critical reflection on all forms of sport and sporting culture within Australia. TarraWarra Contemporary 2010
Gareth Sansom has been selected for this years TarraWarra Museum of Art Biennial, which opens to the public on August 6. Eight art industry professionals were invited to nominate one artist each for inclusion in this year's exhibition, which runs until 24 October.
