Once Removed is an exhibition that refers to aspects of place and the predicament of displacement. This exhibition was curated by Felicity Fenner, and was commissioned for the 2009 Venice Biennale, the world's premier art event. Will be showing 29 May through 8 August, 2010. The 17th Biennale of Sydney has opened
The Beauty of Distance: Songs of Survival in a Precarious Age is the title to the 17th Biennale of Sydney with David Elliott as its curator. There are 166 artists from more than 36 countries participating in the exhibition. Among the artists being shown, there are 65 Australian artists and 3 of which we represent: Aleks Danko, Rosslynd Piggott, and Jemima Wyman. Ross Manning: Double Refraction - Lismore regional Gallery 24 April - 29 May
Ross Manning is exhibiting at Lismore Regional Gallery 24 April to 29 may. Opens Friday 23 April, 5:30 for 6pm. He looks beyond the original function of his electronic materials (such as screens and projectors) to produce mesmerising artworks made from refracted light. On Saturday April 24 from 6-7:30pm, he will give a live performance with sound-making machines, some acoustic, some electronic, some unclassified. Lights, gizmos, gadgets.
100 Years: Highlights from the University of Queensland Art Collection April 16 - July 4
