AFA TOURS RICHARD BELL EXHIBITION

Following his residency and exhibition I am not Sorry at Location One, the American Federation of Arts (AFA) is touring an expanded version of the show, curated by Maura Reilly, to six locations in North America. The exhibition title is Uz vs Them. Further details to be announced.

The Heide Museum of Modern Art is hosting the show: Cubism & Australian Art, featuring many artists including Ian Burn, Gordon Bennett, Eugene Carchesio, Liz Gower, Gemma Smith and Madonna Staunton. National Artists Self Portrait Prize

Luke Roberts and Judy Watson are finalists in this year's National Artists' Self Portrait Prize at the University of Queensland Art Museum. The biennial, invitational only prize will be judged this year by Elizabeth Ann Macgregor, director of the Museum of Contemporary Art Sydney. The winner will be announced at the opening of the exhibition on November 27. University of Queensland Art Museum, St Lucia, Queensland, 28 November 2009-24 January, 2010.

Aleks Danko, in collaboration with Jude Walton, will present a series of performances at Fort Lytton, Brisbane on Sunday November 15. Getting the message through at all costs will respond to the architectural features of the buildings and environs of Fort Lytton, a former military installation at the mouth of the Brisbane river.
